Kids Up Front Foundation
Kids Up Front Foundation (KUFF) is a charitable organization that provides access to arts, culture, sports and recreation for kids who otherwise would not have the opportunity. They do this by distributing unused event tickets and by creating special events. As an agency partner, Parkgate Community Services Society identifies families living the east of the Seymour River who are eligible to receive tickets from KUFF. This partnership is further enhanced with the assistance of the Mount Seymour Lions Club and Mount Seymour Lions Housing Society who together donate additional support by providing the Seymour area families the means to get themselves to the events, and have something to eat before or at the event.
Since June 2004, through PCSS, KUFF has gifted over $103,000 worth of opportunities over that period to families east of the Seymour River in North Vancouver.

Mt. Seymour United Church
Parkgate Community Services Society (PCSS) and Mt. Seymour United Church have partnered to provide the Seymour Access Bus to make free transportation accessible to frail and isolated seniors to and from their own door. A trained bus driver, and trained volunteers and staff, will assist the seniors on twice monthly trips to Lynn Valley Mall, where they can shop, visit and have a light lunch.
The Seymour Access Bus came about through research that identified a need for seniors who are frail and/or isolated and live within their own homes to have accessible transportation to and from Lynn Valley Mall. Despite improved transportation services to seniors east of the Seymour River, there remains a clear need for a service that provides a greater level of assistance to those seniors who live independently, but for reasons of health and physical limitations are unable to use the present means of transportation. Seniors who are frail and who wish to remain in their own homes require support from others to maintain social contacts with other seniors and the greater community. Transportation is often the single barrier for seniors being able to function in their own homes.
If you or a loved one could use the Seymour Access Bus, please contact Erin Smith at 604-983-6350 or esmith@myparkgate.com
If you wish to be a volunteer with the project please contact Jamie Turner at 604-983-6350 or jturner@myparkgate.com
