Parkgate Community Services Society acknowledges the following partners that enable the society to fulfill its mandate of delivering community programs and services for youth, seniors, children and families through Parkgate Community Centre and satellite locations.
Parkgate Community Centre, a District of North Vancouver owned facility, functions under a unique community governance model, whereby the facility is run in partnership by Parkgate Community Services Society (PCSS) and the North Vancouver Recreation & Culture Commission (NVRC) as mandated by the District of North Vancouver.
North Vancouver Recreation & Culture is responsible for the fitness centre, fitness classes, registered sport skills development programs and outdoor recreation services at Parkgate Community Centre.
Public Health Agency of Canada – Community Action Program for Children (CAPC) provides long term funding to community groups and coalitions across Canada to develop programs that promote the healthy development of young children (0-6 years). Through CAPC, support and activities are made available to children and their families facing challenging life circumstances.
The Ministry of Children and Family Development provides programs and services to ensure that healthy children and responsible families are living in safe, caring and inclusive communities.
The Ministry of Finance, Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch, Community Gaming Grants, allow eligible organizations to apply for gaming revenues to support direct delivery of programs that benefit the broader community.
