Room Rentals

Table Rentals

Parkgate Community Centres now offers the rental of tables for off-site use. If you are holding an event at home, your place of business, or any other location that requires additional tables, you may now rent these from Parkgate. You may down load the Parkgate Table Rental Agreement for additional information.

Guidelines When Renting Rooms

  • To rent a room we ask for at least one week's notice for a rental request. For a large event more than one weeks notice is essential.
  • All rental requests must be made in writing. A form is available from our front desk or can be printed from this site. Please scroll down to the next page for a rental request form. We ask that you provide the event date, start and end time, how many people are expected, what activity the space rental is requested for, how you would like the space set-up (some tables and chairs can be provided at no charge by the centre), your full name and company name (if applicable) your address with postal code, phone numbers, fax number and an e-mail address.
  • Please return the completed form to our front desk in person, by mail or fax: 604-983-6357.
  • Please bring all your own supplies and equipment. Parkgate provides the rental space.
  • Parkgate is a non-smoking community centre.
  • Parkgate Community Centre is wheelchair accessible
  • For events where decorations or posters are involved, the centre permits mounting putty only. Tacking, taping or nailing on any surfaces of the centre, is not permitted.
  • For certain activities a damage deposit is required in advance and is refunded once a Maintenance inspection has been completed after the event and no damage has been reported.
  • Parkgate will charge a cancellation fee if a rental is cancelled later than the 'Conditions of Use' or the agreement states.
  • If requesting the gymnasium space, the gymnasium can be used for indoor soccer, indoor hockey, badminton, volleyball, basketball and dry land training. The following activities are not permitted: No baseball, rollerblading, lacrosse, softball and any other sport that could have potential damaging results to the centre.

Parkgate Filming and Movie Requests

Parkgate Community Centre has had the following movie and TV series shoot in the building:

  • Two television episodes of "Mysterious Ways"
  • "Skate" - A production about skateboarding
  • "Most Valuable Primate II" - a movie production.
  • Photo shoot of Kevin Sorbo - Celebrity Magazine
  • "Saved" - a movie featuring Macaulay Culkin and Mandy Moore
  • Commercial - Harpoon Productions for Centrum
  • Commercial - Radke Film Group for USA Network
  • Commercial - Radke Film Group for Community Savings Bank
  • Television episode of "The L Word"

Parkgate Community Centre has a "State of the Art" Skateboard Bowl for filming projects

Parkgate Community Centre can negotiate the use of rooms not normally offered for rent to the public.

Additional parking for crew and equipment can be negotiated.
