Parkgate Community Centre offers a variety fitness-0413of yoga classes for all ages and abilities. Our yoga classes are registered programs, but some do allow for drop-ins if space permits. For information on how to register, visit our registration page. Our yoga classes are operated through North Vancouver Recreation & Culture Commission.

Fit 4 Two Mom & Baby Yoga
Stretch, breathe and relax your body back into shape. Enjoy Asanas (postures) specifically tailored to your needs as a new mother. Special attention will be given to strengthening your core and releasing tension in your neck, shoulders, hips and back. No previous yoga experience necessary. Dads welcome!

Yoga Prenatal
A nurturing time for you to gently relax, release and attune to your body and the rapidly growing baby within. Postures, breath work and vocal toning are used to build confidence and promote relaxation which brings calm and ease to the birthing process.

Ageless Yoga 50yrs&up
An all-levels hatha style yoga class for active people 50 years and over.

 

Chair Yoga with Randi
IMG_0382For those who cannot or do not feel comfortable on the floor. Slow and gentle stretches either sitting on or using the chair for balance will help you maintain your range of motion, focus on breathing and ease tension. Price reduction for Seniors’ Centre membership holders.

Restorative Yoga

The Core Coaching Class – All Levels
A weekly retreat for students seeking to engage in a more meaningful experience of centered strength.  Each class will include Pilates mat & core body movement for strengthening the physical centre, practical coaching exercises for creating a life in balance, and guided meditations for personal breathing space.  Please bring a mat, journal & pen.
