The indoor climbing wall at Parkgate is a 30' by 24' foot modular wall which includes 400 different holds, 12 different routes, and all the ropes and attachments that you'll need to get started.
Indoor Climbing Wall Programs
Basic Belaying 14 yrs and up
Learn the basics of belaying, rope handling and climbing techniques. Everything you need to know to get started in this great sport - no experience necessary! Contact Jodi Weiderick at 604-983-6361 if you are interested in taking this course.
Kids Climbing 7 to 12 yrs
A fun introduction to indoor climbing. Learn basic climbing techniques from our experienced staff. All equipment provided. For more information on upcoming programs please call the Parkgate Front Desk at 604-983-6350.

Indoor Climbing Wall Birthday Parties 5 - 12 yrs
Spend one hour climbing our state-of-the-art climbing wall with your friends. No experience is needed; we'll show you the ropes. Continue the festivities in the Youth Centre for unsupervised present opening, food & more fun. (Please ask guests to wear running shoes & bring a bike helmet if they have one. Waivers must be signed prior to the party & are available at the Parkgate Front Office or can be printed from this site (see top of this page).Group Prices:
Up to 8 children: $140 (2 climbing belayers)
9-12 children: $170 (3 climbing belayers)
Please note: We cannot take more than 12 children in a party.

Indoor Climbing Wall Rules
- Use of the climbing wall is restricted to members who have received an orientation and passed a safety test.
- No unroped climbing above the third panel (hand height). This is not necessarily a recommended or safe height, but an absolute maximum. Use a spotter.
- No climbing above or below other climbers.
- Do not stand underneath other climbers.
- Authorized belay devices and techniques only.
- No loose chalk.
