Remembering the Lions Manor Fire & the Community Support

It was a devastating event and the reverberations of the Lions Manor Fire in Deep Cove this past July 24th are still being felt. However, just as this open letter (published in the November 2nd edition of North Shore News, p. A26) states, out of the ashes also arose a strengthening of community and a deeper sense of connection.  Thank you to everyone who reached out and offered help (and continue to offer help) to the residents of Lions Manor.

To mark 6 months since the fire, on Monday, January 28th at 2:00 pm we will be hosting an “Ice Cream Social” for Lions Manor Fire Evacuees & for members of the community to reunite and keep the community connections strong.
