Seymour Access Bus

The Seymour Access Bus is for older adults who have difficulty navigating transportation and who need extra support to get out of the house. Shop for groceries, prescriptions, and other essentials or just enjoy an afternoon out with companions.

Monthly Leisure Bus Trips

Explore the interesting sights of Lower Mainland in the comfort of our Society’s private bus! Our monthly Leisure Bus Trips will take you to a variety of destinations. We also have our twice-monthly Seymour Access Bus trips for those who have a harder time getting out and about. All trips depart from and return to Parkgate Community Centre.

Bus trips are registered programs. Registration opens for upcoming bus trips one month prior to the trip date and are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Sign up for a bus trip at Parkgate Community Centre front desk, by calling the North Vancouver Call Center: (604) 987-7529 or online via this link.

  • Zubu Ramen Restaurant: Mar 21
    Besides a variety of ramen noodle options, diners may enjoy an electric menu that features hand roll sushi, hand-made gyoza and so much more!

  • Museum of Vancouver: Apr 9
    Just a quick trip to the Museum of Vancouver to view the new exhibit: True Tribal – Contemporary Expressions of Ancestral Tattoo Practices which explores 30-plus years of Indigenous tattooing from around the world and the artists who are reconnecting with traditional skin marking practices.

  • Cherry Blossom Tour: Apr 22
    Discover the essence of Vancouver Cherry Blossoms through a leisurely, self-guided tour of cherry blossom trees in Stanley Park. Enjoy lunch at Stanley Park Brewing afterwards.

  • Van Dusen Gardens: May 13
    Enjoy the day discovering Vancouver’s Van Dusen Botanical Gardens. Spend the day exploring the gardens seasonal blooms, delicious dining options or the Plant Shop for seasonal seeds for your own garden!

  • Milner Valley Cheese + Krause Berry Farm: Jun 21
    A fifth generation heritage family farm nestled in the Milner Valley of Langley. Shop for a variety of farmstead cheeses and farm-raised lamb or try out their new goats milk ice cream! Wrapping up with a quick stop at Krause Berry Farm for lunch, a sweet treat and a browse of their Market & Bakery.

  • Picnic at Belcarra Park: Jul 23
    Take in the views of the rocky beaches and mountains views while enjoying a picnic from Bean Around the World. Belcarra is surrounded by forested trails that range from easy to challenging for you to explore!

  • Burnaby Central Railway: Aug 31
    The Burnaby Central Railway offers steam, diesel and electric locomotives that are built to look like ones that have been, or are, in service on railways around the world. They offer four hand-crafted steam engines that patrons can ride on with over 2 miles of 7.5″ gauge track. Enjoy lunch afterwards (Location TBA).
